From November 5-9, Alyssa attended the American Musicological Society’s 2025 Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After being accepted to present at the conference from the inaugural AMS Explore cohort, a program designed for “rising scholars,” Alyssa presented her research, “The Distortion of Memory: Recasting the Fourth Movement of Dmitri Shostakovich’s Eighth String Quartet.” Alyssa acknowledges her research mentors, Drs. Erin Brooks (SUNY Potsdam), Alexandrea Jonker (SUNY Potsdam), and Gabrielle Cornish (University of Wisconsin-Madison) for their support of her project.
