The duo performed at the Franklin Academy High School and the First Congregational Church in Malone, New York. Both Alyssa and Michael also held a Q&A with the high school students, answering questions about their careers, life in university, and other fun miscellaneous musical topics.
Thank you to the Lake Placid Sinfonietta for hosting the Idillio Duo for two wonderful concerts of music and discussion.

This lecture recital explores the versatile and powerful roles of music in the Holocaust through the lives of five Jewish string musicians. Awarded a research grant for this project, Alyssa examined how these composers used music to survive, resist, and reflect amid persecution. Their stories reveal the resilience and artistic expression expressed under extreme and harrowing circumstances.
